(an abbreviated excerpt from the Artist in Residency guidelines:) Artists In Residence at a Glance The Artists in Residence Program provides funding for residencies of professional Michigan artists lasting from one month to nine months in one specific fiscal year. There are three residency options: - Individual Artist Residency - Artist Company Residency - Multi-Disciplinary Residency Funding is variable depending the length of the residency and number of artists participating. Requests of $5,000 to $30,000 will be allowed under this program. Applicants may request funds for residencies of up to three artists within the same grant year. Request amounts may not exceed 1/2 of the total expenses A 1:1 match of grant funds including a cash match of at least 50% of the requested amount is required Funded projects must be completed within the MCACA Fiscal Year, 10/1 - 9/30 Deadline... Applications must be postmarked no later than May 1 (this was the deadline for 2001, and it likely will be similar for future years. Contact the MCACA for confirmation of the application deadline).
